Itinerary description
Skiing trail description
The trail is located in Gegharkunik province and starts from the borders of Geghhovit and Medina villages, near the mountains (the location is exactly pointed on GPS). The mountains of Vardenis sierra are mainly crater and semi-crater. The descent is very pleasant during sunny weather and snow powder.
Monuments description
On the back way skiers can visit Noratus, the ancient cemetery with preserved unique khachkars (cross stones) having work-of-art ornaments, Hayrivank old monastery.
Fauna
The fauna is not enough rich in Gegharkunik province, on the way skiers can meet bears, wolves, foxes and rabbits.
Safety and security
The mobile connections function without interruptions. In case of emergency, call 911 or 112.
