Itinerary description

We skinned up from the uppermost parking in Arinsal with the intention of ascending Pic de Sanfonts. However, at around 2700m we came across a massive resuce effort digging out the second of two hikers on snow shoes who had been killed in an avalanche two days earlier. In light of the circumstances, we accepted their offer of a helicopter lift back down to La Massana.
