Itinerary description
A short easy tour with beautiful views and a great descent, that is not done all that often. If you want a great ski-off with little time invested going up, or you would like to get away from the myriad of tracks on Andorra's more popular peaks, this is a great choice.
Starts on the Coll d'Ordino road (coming up from Canillo) at Borda del Jarca. The forest varies in density, try to find the cleanest way through. Then firmer snow for skinning up can often be found on south-east ridge - and it give you great views into the Vall del Rui valley. The best ski descent is down the south face, and then you need to find the canal between the rocks on skiers right and the forest on skiers left. Don't go too far into the forest, it gets too dense to be fun. Then schuss back to the car!
