Itinerary description
Great loop starting from the bottom of the Arcalis ski resort. Up in the cirque Tristaina, up to the Port de l'Arbella. Nice ski off - how far down you go depending on how much you want to skin back up. Then start up the obvious snow canal, which faces NE. It is a steady 40 degrees with some short passages of 45 degrees near then top (we were bootpacking and using crampons and an axe near the top) and possibly some minor rock scambling on the final ridge, depending on snow cover. The ski down is a beautiful sustained line straight down to car. We joined the piste near the end due to lean snow low down but you could go directly.
