Itinerary description
From the ski lift car park at 1900m on the east side of the Port de la Bonaigua via the Refugi Gerber Mataró (unmanned, 7 bunks), over the col d'Amitges 2775m and down. Across the Estany Gran (big lake) d'Amitges to the Amitges Hut.
The 'col' is more like a shoulder and it is not very obvious from the north side. There is a rocky ridge to climb up to it and a rocky band to ski through on the descent. While easy enough in sunshine, if the mist is down, it requires a good map and precise navigation.
