Itinerary description
Sloaros is the name of a DNT unlocked hut about 14 km northwest of Hovden. Starting fra the alpine center, you leave Hovden on a prepared track taking you almost up to Krosslosskarvet. Be warned - there is a quite steep (20 %) section after about 4 km. After 5.5 km, you leave the prepared track and after a short climb, you might want to walk a couple of hundred meters down a 20 % slope. After managing that challenge, your next challenge will be trying to follow this route on your GPX. The route might be marked in late spring or you could be as lucky as I was - a tracking machine had just marked a part of the trail. On a sunny day with no wind, you will be met with fantastic scenery. Arriving at the hut - by studying the guest book - I could see, that the last one had signed 18th of January - I was there 14th of February.
