After several days without seeing the sun, today it dawns with clear skies, so we will take the opportunity to try the Musala (top of Bulgaria)
From Borovets we take the gondola that ascends us to 2370 m. from where we will descend to the bottom of the valley. We will begin the ascent gently until we reach some buildings and a guarded shelter. We continue the ascent and we will arrive at another pyramid-shaped refuge that will leave us at the last part of the ascent, a well-equipped ridge by a metal towline, which we will accompany with skis on our backs to the top.
From the summit and after enjoying the views, we will descend a few meters along the ridge until we find a comfortable ledge where we can put our boards back on and enjoy a fun descent.
The lack of snow this winter does not allow us to continue on the track that on other occasions allows us to descend continuously to Borovets, so we will have to return to the track we descended on earlier in the morning, which will take us to the gondola. But before ascending, the snow is in such good condition that we decide to ascend the immaculate slopes that we see to our left and enjoy virgin snow for ourselves.
After facing now yes, the last ascent of the day, we only have to go down a track maintained with cannons to the parking lot of the Borovets gondola.

La ruta desde donde te deja el remonte mecánico hasta la cima, cuanto es en distancia?. Entraña mayor dificultad?, pensamos hacerla los primeros días de abril. (llevamos raqueta de nieve y crampones, son necesarios ambos?). Peligro de alud en la zona? Gracias por compartir tu experiencia y de antemano por la atención prestada.

Ya sabes que las condiciones de la montaña con nieve son muy cambiantes. No se decirte si necesitaréis raquetas depende de la nieve que quede y la huella que podáis encontrar, pero yo las metería en la mochila.
Respecto a crampones, creo que los usareis en la arista final, que aunque está equipada con una sirga , conviene calzarse los para ir de manera más segura hasta la cima.
Riesgo de alud? Este año no ha sido muy benévolo en cuanto a nevadas, aún así nosotros descartamos tirarnos desde la cima con esquís, pues había nevado con viento los días anteriores y había cornisas y riesgo de placas de viento. Si subís y bajáis por la arista no tendréis problemas con posibles avalanchas.., pero ya sabes que el riesgo cero no existe.
Respecto a la distancia desde donde te deja el teleférico, son 7 km hasta la cima. 1'5 de bajada y 5'5 de subida.
