Itinerary description
Beautiful ascent to one of the most characteristic summits of the Stryn area.
First part follows the forest road. On the way up, i recommend not to follow the summer path, as it goes through steep and thick forests. It is easier to follow the road a little longer and turn left once it reaches the plateau.
After the plateau, you have to make your way along a section of the river canyon. This is the most delicate part of the trip, as it is a little steep, possibli icy and exposed to avalanches from above. Luckily it is quite short and soon the canyon opens into the valley of Skordalen and you can see the little houses of Skorsæetra. From here turn direction west and you can see the beautiful Kyrkjenibba's summit. Climb up in open and smooth terrain to the pass left of the summit. The pass is a big high plateau at 1280. From there the last push is an obvious ramp that gets a little narrower but not much steeper. Very good views in all directions from the summit,
Way down following the same way up.
