Itinerary description
This is a nice day tour from the hut, and the views from the peak are magnificent. You ski down from the hut for a hundred vertical metres before beginning to skin (and you have to skin back up to the hut at the end).
We were initially navigating in mist and were then trying to get up onto the north side of Tuc de Bergús, before deciding to climb Pic de Ratera instead. Going directly to Pic de Ratera in good weather, you could take a more direct line than this gps track suggests.
You can ski off the summit, the upper slopes are around 40 degrees, but the slope is broad and you can traverse to easier ground if desired. With good snow it would a lovely descent.
