Itinerary description
A point-to-point tour, from the Sorteny car park, up the Roc del Rellotge ridge (NW ridge) to the summit of Pic de l'Estanyó. Descend the SSE face, traverse to bypass Estany Brun on the southern side. (The track is not quite accurate here, we did not cross the lake, we run a high traverse round the side.) Descend down the river valley, taking care to avoid various lines of cliffs. Our line down through the trees on the left bank of Riu de la Vall del Riu is not that easy. It might be simpler to skin up to the Refugi de al Vall de Riu and ski down from there, keeping a higher line. We had to walk the final section due to lack of snow.
