CAT-Blatinden 1180m +, South Lyngen Alps

Exit: Kantornes (Laksvatn)

On Saturday the forecast remains variable throughout the day and, for the moment, the visibility is good up to a thousand meters in height.
We start from a parking lot near the E8 road. We slide on the same road about two hundred meters until we turn left (sign) entering the forest completely in the summer path.
We earn meters quickly until the forest is clarified above three hundred meters in height. We continue for a long buttress that goes smoothly until we gradually drop it to continue with a coma that will leave us on a series of broad and almost flat shovels. From here we observe a coma of four hundred meters of unevenness that we avoid climbing by turning a little to the right for a safer and less loaded loin.
Raised these four hundred meters, the route becomes very soft and we reach the summit less peacefully than we thought due to fog and poor visibility, which forces us to use GPS and reach the curious tail in the form of a cage Shelter of the Blatinden. The northeast face is an impressive vertical wall of 400 meters of rock and ice.
After a short pause, and in order not to get cold, we remove skins and start the descent without visibility, following the track, until we find a safe entry to the coma that we have seen during the climb.
Downhill to remember for a long time with views of Balsfjord and with some sunbeams.

On Saturday the forecast remains variable throughout the day and, for now, the visibility is good up to a thousand meters in height.
We start from a parking lot close to the E8 road. We slipped on the same road about two hundred meters until we turned to the left (sign) entering full in the forest through the summer route.
We gain meters quickly until the forest is cleared above three hundred meters in height. We continue along a long buttress that rises smoothly until we gradually leave it to continue a coma that will leave us on a series of broad and almost flat shovels. From here we observe a coma of four hundred meters of unevenness that we avoid climbing a bit to the right for a safest and less loaded ridge.
With these four hundred meters stretched, the route becomes very smooth but we reached the summit less placidly than we thought due to the fog and poor visibility, which forces us to use the GPS and reach the goal in the form of a refugee cage from the Blatinden. The northeastern face is an impressive 400-meter vertical wall of rock and ice.
After a short pause, and not to get cold, we remove skins and begin the descent without visibility, following the track, until we find a safe entry to the coma that we have seen during the climb.
Down to remember for a long time overlooking Balsfjord and with some ray of sun.
