Itinerary description
Start from the hotel doorsteps and dealing with the messy Yangon traffic. After some 30 km things start to improve as the city is left behind. I thought Bago was still too big and not much appealing and I extend the stage to Nyaung Lay Pin / Nyaunglebin. Not much accommodation there but two guesthouses: one dead basic, the other a bit worse. Great atmosphere though as that day there was a fair going on.
Stage was nice rolling flat, only the February heat (top thirties centigrade) became sometimes a problem. Camelbak is really a must.
Greeting and warning claxons soon became part of the soundspace.
