Bicycle tour, 10-day circular tour (by bike) to Transylvania, in the Carpathians of Romania, in August 2018.

- 49.80 km
- Average speed av: 16.9 km / h.
- Positive difference in level: 444 m.
- 100% asphalt.

We leave the "Alma Vii 104" at 9:00.

Easy day trip, where we visit several quiet villages with fortified Saxon churches, where Biertan stands out where we pay a good visit and rest a bit.

At km 30 of the day we enter the national road 14. Fast road, a lot of traffic and you have to go with caution (no more and no less than in Catalonia).

Just before entering the city of Sighişoara there is a traffic jam. We try to get off the main road, to enter quieter streets. We have just arrived at the west gate (Turnul Croitorilor Tower) of the old town, after a steep climb with cobblestones and a ban on cars.

It's 1:15 in the afternoon, and we go to the "Pensiunea Bastion" (WhatsApp T +40 742292930/0770256843 www.bastionsighisoara.ro) Double room: 180 lei (€ 38.67); Breakfast: 25 lei / per (€ 5.37).
Incredibly central (at the foot of the stairs "Scara Şcolarilor"), with a very nice patio, magnificent room (dark wood), very nice and good breakfast. Highly recommended!

We will be there for 2 nights, because we want to enjoy and get to know in depth (and on foot) the city of Sighişoara.

Sighişoara is smaller than Sibiu. There is a feeling that it is much more touristy, or people are less distributed. Personally, it stands out for the magnificent Gothic (Saxon) calligraphy of many of the city's signs (my stuff!). It is difficult to find a place for lunch and dinner, although the offer is great. Tourism (like us) gets a little tired. The subject of Dracula gets a little embarrassing. It is full of interesting nooks and crannies. Lots to see.

Next day's route:
09/10 Sighişoara - Făgăraş (Transylvania)

Transylvania; Transylvania; Transylvania; Siebenbürgen; Erdély; Erdel; Erdelistan.
