Itinerary description
Done with my 8 y.o.
A nice, little-known leisurely loop from Lampėdžiai in Kaunas to Zapyškis/Kulautuva, along the Neman River. The southern half of the trail has a few sights, and laid-back Kačerginė is probably the best choice for a lunch break (there's a small number of cafes, a park with a playground, and the main street is full of interesting traditional, Soviet-era and modern vacation homes). The northern half of the route is slightly longer, with less things along the way to break the monotony (for kids at least).
The route is "seasonal", as the boat service between Zapyškis and Kulautuva only operates in June-September. The cycling path is nearly 100% dedicated.
