After a very rainy night, it is cloudy, but as the hours go by, it clears up to stay a sunny and even hot day. We travel a beautiful valley surrounded by high mountains. It is an area with many strawberry crops and people collect them and sell them in small stands on the shoulder of the road; we buy some and we verify its excellent quality.
We continue climbing parallel to the roaring river Valldola, ideal for the practice of rafting. We reach the Gudbrandsjuvet Gorge, where swirls form in the river that can be seen from some bridges and footbridges.
We continue along the road in a slight ascent and stop to eat in a rest area. After a swim in the river and a rest we continue facing the harder ramps until we reach the pass that descends the famous and dizzying Carretera de los Trolls. There is a viewpoint where you can see the winding road with its infinite curves with the bottom of the valley that descends to Andalsnes. The descent is very fun with majestic vertical mountains and waterfalls. Once in the valley, we continue descending until we reach Andalsnes, where we camp in a camping (175 NOK).
The next day we rented a car and went to see the Atlantic Road, which disappointed us a little. The road connects, by bridges, small islands; the best known of them is the Storseisundet bridge, with a spectacular curvature. We also visited the beautiful city of Alesund, with colorful buildings resulting from Art Nouveau architecture.
