Itinerary description
This trail is based on the existing Camino del Norte for hikers. However, the alternatives for cyclists are intended for youngsters on a MTB and limited luggage. Therefore I looked for an easier alternative.
Where possible I followed the tar roads parallel to camino for hikers. In general this is not a problem since the presence of the recent Autovia Cantabrica took away all interregional traffic from the local roads.
In general the climbings are not difficult but due to the fact that between Hondarribia and Santiago we hardly have any flat part, it requires a good condition.
