Itinerary description
A picturesque ride through the peripheral park of Doñana National Park. Great opportunity for nature lovers to see birdlife including storks, flamingos, egrets, herons, eagles and hawks. The Dehesa de Abajo is the largest stork breeding ground in Europe, there are scores of nests perched in olive trees. Many of the storks don't migrate; they are happy to stay here year round!.
Lovely sections of Mediterranean pine forest. The route is mixed on and off road. The road sections are really quiet, especially if you do the ride on a weekday. Some tracks are sandy in sections.
The route can be customized and lengthened or shortened to suit your preference. There is an authentic farmer's bar en route for a cool drink or snack.
