Itinerary description
The bike trip started a bit outside Esteli (about 15km). Their is a cheap (80 cordoba) and not-so-cosy hotel in Zarzales (about 70-80km after Esteli). I firrst went off the Leon highway to go thru the small dirt road but I discover it was a mistake when I arrived on highway 22...
You should take the highway 22 from Malpaisillo. This highway is brand new with no traffic and has great views of the momotombo. Don't get lost in dirt tracks !
If I can recommend a cool spot on the beach, it would be Free Spirit Hostel in El Transito. Try to make a reservation, It might be needed.
