Eurovelo 3: Pilgrims Route or Camino de Santiago. 5,122 km

From Santiago de Compostela to Trondheim. If you are looking for a bit of culture on your next bike trip but also to combine it with a bit of partying, the Pilgrims' route will give you what you are looking for.

Countries it crosses:

Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway.

Most of the kilometers of the Eurovelos pass through narrow asphalt tracks very similar to conventional cycle lanes. In addition, all sections have to meet a series of specific conditions:

-Do not have slopes greater than 6%

-Have sufficient width to allow the passage of at least two bicycles.

-Have an average of no more than 1,000 motorized vehicles a day.

-Be paved at least 80% of its length

-Stay open all year.

Apart from establishing the first European network of cycle routes, one of the best possibilities that in my opinion Eurovelos provide is the ability to connect with each other to create new routes or even use specific sections to complete our trips with the guarantee that They are fully cyclable paths, signposted and adapted to bicycles.
