Mallorca: Can Picafort - Playa de Palma

Van ons hotel in de Passeig Colon fietsen we naar het rondpunt op de Ma-12 en volgen deze weg en de wat rustigere parallelwegen een goede 5,5 km naar het noorden langs de Salines de S'Illot van het Parc Natural de S'Albufera.
Vlak voor we Alcudia bereiken, gaat het linksaf in de Carrer Camí de Can Blau, deze wat drukkere asfaltweg Ma-3433 voert ons langs de rand van het Parc Natural de S'Albufera. Voorbij het Parc Natural zoeken we even een rustigere parallelweg op en doorkruisen het stadfje Sa Pobla.
De rustige Ma-3422 "Camí Vell de Inca a Alcùdia" voert ons door een rustig weide- en landbouwgebied gedurende een 10-tal kilometer in de richting van Inca. Eens over de steile brug over de autoweg gaan we rechtsaf langs de Avinguda de Reis Catòlics naar het centrum van Inca.
Na ons bezoek aan het stadje keren we langs deze weg terug, rijden onder de autoweg door en rijden 300m verder in een U-bocht een dienstweg op naar de Camí Vell de Llubí. Deze zeer rustige, landelijke weg voert ons naar Sencelles, waar we op het terras van de Molico bar van een rustpauze genieten.
De Ma-3110 brengt ons daarna naar Algaida (met cafeetje op het dorpsplein). Wat verder voert de Camí Vell de Llubí ons in een korte, stevige klim door de bossen over het hoogste punt van de dag (220m). Langs de Camí de Talaia Romanina en de Camí de s'Atalaia bereiken we nu snel de autoweg Ma-19, die we langs een parallelle dienstweg een paar kilometer volgen.
We passeren een gocart-circuit en aan het klaverblad van afrit 15 gaan we onder de snelweg door en nemen het fietspad aan de overkant van de Ma-6020. Voorbij het volgende rondpunt voert de Carrer de Sant Cristòfol naar Arenal aan de kust. Daar volgen we rechtsaf het fietspad langs de kust naar ons hotel in Can Pastilla.
Gefietst op 29/05/2014 - Vermits de track ook onverharde of minder goede wegen volgt, is deze route is niet geschikt voor racefietsen!

From our hotel at Passeig Colonin Can Picafort we cycled to the roundabout at the Ma-12 and followed this road (and quieter parallel roads) about 5.5 km to the north, along the Salines de S'Illot of Parc Natural de S'Albufera.
Just before we are at Alcudia, it goes left into Carrer Cami de Can Blau. This busier asphaltroad, the Ma-3433, takes us along the edge of the Parc Natural de S'Albufera. Beyond the Parc Natural we found a quieter parallel road to the small town of Sa Pobla.
The calm Mon-3422 "Cami Vell de Inca a Alcudia" takes us through a peaceful meadow and agricultural area for about 10 kilometers in the direction of Inca. Once over the steep bridge over the highway, we turn right along the Avinguda Tour Catolics to the center of Inca.
After our visit to the small town of we returned back ons this road, went under the motorway and made after 300m U-turn on to a service road to the Cami Vell de Llubí. This very quiet, country road took us to Sencelles, where we enjoyed a break on the terrace of the bar Molico.
The Ma-3110 leads us to Algaida (with cafe on the town square). A bit further took the Cami Vell de Llubí us in a short, steep climb through the woods over the highest point of the day (220m). Along the Camí the Talaia Romanina and Camí de S'Atalaia we reached soon motorway Ma-19, and followed it a few kilometers along a parallel service road.
We passed a go-kart circuit and at the cloverleaf of junction 15, we went under the highway and took the bicycle path on the other side of the Ma-6020. Past the next roundabout, enter the Carrer de Sant Cristòfol to Arenal at the coast. Turn right and follow the bicycle path along the coast to the hotel in Can Pastilla.
Cycled on 29/05/2014 - As this track also follows poor or even unpaved roads, it is not very suited for racing bikes!
