WCRVBB-18-TOUR OF ESTONIA-STAGE 06-Parnu-Viljandi 99,3 km
STAGE DESCRIPTION
Very wild stage crossing the Sooremaa national park. After exiting Parnu, you follow the river Parnu and reach Tori, with a very interesting church. Then you enter the National park, with many km of non paved roads with no houses or villages. Many straights of 7, 8 or 10 km. Never ends. Be careful of the dust of the rarely cars. You can visit the bogs. Beware of the mosquitoes. First of them you find Riisa Bog Trail, with a watch tower inside. There is also a crossing to Meikose Hiking trail, a bog trail to a watchtower of birds. Perhaps the more famous, but becare here with mosquitoes. They like mosquito repelent. There are millions of them. You find the visitor center and more watchtowers near the road. Interesting to climb on it. Finally you reach the main road to Vijlandi, fortunately with not man traffic.

- Meikose hiking trail.
- Toramaa Sooremmma Visitors Center
- And other watchtowers for birs in the Sooremaa national park.
DESTINATION POINT
Vijlandi, a interesting city with a castle, gardens and great views to the river. A park with musical instruments, and the water tower are other interesting places to visit. Downtown, on the other side there is a beautiful lake, but a bit far of the city. There are also a pair of churches to visit (St Paul and St John).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
Take the main road, not entering the Sooremaa National Park. Shorter but you loose perhaps de more beautiful of the trip.
