STAGE DESCRIPTION
From Tartu to Jogeva you lead north throug quietly secondary roads, some times not paved. Many intersting visits during the trip. You first pass beside Raadi Mois Gate, which lead to an impressive manor outside Tartu. After many kilometers, you find a watchtower with beautiful sights of the sourrondings. Then Kukulina Manor House is a non restored manor, that has a beautiful grass garden for the views to the big lake that is beside. More manors you find before to reach Elitsvere wild park, where you can leave the bike and visit a park with wild animals wandering on it. Another watchtower next tot the path that you can climb and you reach Palamuse Parish, a quiet village with a museum of old schools and a park next to a little river, with beautiful sights. In Jogeva, you take the train to Tapa to make the stage more confortable. Then, in Tapa, you can follow the main road to Rakvere, or take another train.
POINTS OF INTEREST
- There are some manors (Raadi, Kukulina, ...), lakes, beaches and big stones.
- And also two watch towers with splendid views.
- Elitsvere wild park.
DESTINATION POINT
Rakvere, with a very interesting castle and a big iron bull as a symbol. Not a very good city but some interesting sights, like the central park in the modern part and Piik Street, the old part of the city with some interesting buildings. Holy Trinity church and another ortoxian church can be also visited. Katariina GuestHouse was the place chosen to sleep at night, with a good restaurant downstairs.
