TOUR OF MALLORCA

SUMMARY OF THE ROUTE
This is the round trip to the Mallorca Island in 4 stages. Starting at Palma Mallorca harbour, the route leads east to the Serra de Tramuntana^] and to Soller. Its a very beautiful road over cliffs and with excellent views of the coast. Then leads north east to Pollença, crossing the Serra Tramuntana with a tunnel, but you first have to climb so high.
After the beautiful city of Pollença, the rest of the tour is in the more flat eastern part of the island.
First, we head to Manacor and returning to Palma after climbing the Santuiri church with an impressive view. All the way from Manacor to Palma is in beautiful secondary roads filled with many stone walls beside. Very impressive.

MAP OF THE ROUTE
THE MAP

WHICH BIKE
The better is a trekking bike, but you can also go with a road bike, because all the way is in secondary roads, all of them paved.

WHEN TO GO
Best time is in spring, before summer season for the accumulation of tourists and the hot weather. In Easter holidays or rest of april-may is the best time. Good weather, hotels and services open but not at full charge.

HOW TO GET THERE
You can go by plane to Palma, but best way from Spain is with ferries.

WHERE TO STAY
We stayed at little hotels with can be reserved by booking.com .

DIFFICULTIES
The only one difficult is climb "serra Tramuntana" and pass the tunnel, but then all is down and the rest in a flat way among secondary roads. Climb to Sant Salvador de Felanitx is also a bit difficult but can be avoided.

STAGES
Here you have all the stages:
STAGE 01: Palma-Soller 97 km. First stage among beautiful roads in Serra Tramuntana.
STAGE 02: Soller-Pollença 66 km. Climb top of Serra Tramuntana and to the North.
STAGE 03: Pollença-Manacor 52 km. Heading south-east and flat to Manacor.
STAGE 04: Manacor-Palma 82 km. Crossing all the island in beautiful secondary roads.

I have followed this trail  View more

Seria possible?

Moltes gràcies de nou i bones pedalades!

    Martí.
