Itinerary description
New adventure, this time with a new member, Rita.
Very early in the morning we took a van to Albergaria-a-Velha bus station, in order to take the bus to Miranda do Douro, where after a few hours of bus riding, we would start our journey.
From Miranda do Douro to Duas Igrejas we used farm roads, crossing small isolated villages belonging to Miranda Highlands (Planalto Mirandês), one of the most iconic and isolated portuguese region.
Once we reached the small village of Duas Igrejas, we tried to follow the old Sabor railway line, between Duas Igrejas and Pocinho. From Duas Igrejas to Sendim it´s already converted into a Greenway, and also from Carviçais to Pocinho, in the opposite side.
From Sendim to Variz we used the road. From Variz to Mogadouro the track is rideable, although a bit technicall , with some loosen rocks.
In Mogadouro station we had some food, then followed to Vilar de Rei. From that village to Bruçó we had to get a bit far from the railway, passing through the village of Vale de Porco and crossing directly the montain, finding again the railway in Bruçó station.
Well, that part it will be already in the part 2, stay tunned for it! =)))
