Itinerary description
Owls are repeatedly seen in the night only hours, in the areas shown on the map. They usualy stay immobilized on a pole and fly away when a car aproaches. The area at night has no light sources so they prefer to exist in this area. If you go by car approach slowly or step off your car. The area is muddy in winter and has snakes in summer and warm days in winter. Disclaimer: we are only suggesting a place, the precautions for safety and all measures such as awareness of snakes or how to navigate in total darkness area is your responsibility alone. Highly advisable not to go alone into this area and to choose a 4x4 car not a normal car cause in winter it has a lot of swamp patches on the road. We have seen so far in this area at night; hedgehogs, snakes, lizards of various kinds, owls of 2 types. On daylight depending on season: kingfishers (in large flocks) and almost daily some form of kikitsis.
