Itinerary description
This walk starts in the picnic area of Agia Paraskevi (Kalo Chorio) at about 2000 feet and presents a couple of uphill sections with a moderate degree of difficulty, otherwise the route is a mix of undulating, flattish and gentle climbing wide tracks, The view from the ridge is very impressive. We start with a short climbing section to gain the slopes of agricultural land at the top of the picnic area. We continue on an easy track which bends Westwards, soon offering a beautiful panoramic view of the sea’s horizon in the South direction. The winding exposed track, after about an hour, takes us to a point from where we start to go downhill towards the forest area, observing a big dog breeding place in the distance. Soon we walk through the tall pine trees in a resin scented atmosphere. This part is in the shade for about an hour. Then we start to gently climb towards the last part of the walk, to a crossroad of steep tracks used by mountain motorbikes. Fortunately, we avoid this area and continue on a soon descending section that after about another half an hour reaches the picnic area.
