یعقوب لیث صفاری از پادشاهان نجات بخش زبان و فرهنگ اصیل پارسی بوده و حدود 200 سال پس از حمله اعراب به ایران ، در مقابل خلیفه عباسی قد علم کرده و قسمتهای مهمی از ایران عزیز را از سلطه اعراب خارج کرده و در زمره قهرمانان ملی ایران زمین بشمار می‌رود
ایرانیان بسیاری به او و عملکرد او افتخار می‌کنند
آرامگاه این بزرگ مرد در 20 کیلومتری جاده دزفول به شوشتر در منطقه باستانی گندی شاهپور قرار دارد
