Itinerary description

On this route we visited Amirou Monastery with the church of XV century, church of Agios Mamas of XV century and church under UNESCO heritage Timios Stavros of XI century. At end of the route we went to the tavern not far from Moniatis village.

Amirou Monastery - wonder making icon of Virgin Mary in the old church.
Big parking, souvenir shop (only cash).

Agios Mamas - frescoes painted by Phillip Wool who also painted church Stavros tou Agiasmati in Platanistasa.
Parking is limited, church is small and usually closed. In order to visit dial one of the telephone numbers pinned on the door.

Timios Stavros - there is parking lot near the church. Look at the photo of the schedule before your visit, you need as well to give a call at the cell number for the church to be opened.

In Pelendri village there is a nice restaurant worth visiting - Symposio.
