Itinerary description
On this ride we visited 5 wineries out of about 12 on the whole route, though it might have been slightly more if we made a short detour to Vasa village (Argyrides and Papaioannou wineries).
Zambartas winery (https://zambartaswineries.com/ ) - provides for chargeable wine tasting and winery tour, space is limited inside as well as the parking, accepts credit cards. Has Wi Fi. Due to a limited space during tourist season or on weekends better book tasting in advance.
Linos Winery (https://www.linoswinery.com/ ) - not that popular among visitors, there is always parking space, not crowded inside. The owner usually serves visitors himself. You can taste their famous blue wine there. Tasting is free. As a rule winery is open 7 days a week. Accepts credit cards. Can buy local produce as well.
Ktima Gerolemo (http://ktimagerolemo.com/ ) - quite popular among tourists, so may be crowded and parking may be clogged by buses. You may ask for excursion around the winery. Tasting is free and usually one of the two brothers owning the winery arranges for the testing. Sells local produce as well. Has Wi Fi. Accepts credit cards.
Oenou Yi (part of Vassiliades winery) (https://oenouyi.wine/ ) - brand new winery which was built a few years ago, has a restaurant, SPA and a hotel. Has chargeable tasting which includes excursion around winery. Plenty of parking. Restaurant is opened only Friday to Sunday. If you plan to visit winery on weekends, better arrange your visit in advance. Has Wi Fi and accepts credit cards.
Zenon Winery - small family owned winery not that popular with visitors. The grandson of the winery founder being quite old himself usually serves the clients. Tasting is free. There is a small exhibition of old instruments for wine production as well as other old various appliances from neighboring villages. Accepts only cash.
You can have lunch/dinner in the nearby Omodos village which is nice to wonder about as well.
