Basarbovo Rock Monastery

Basarbovo Rock Monastery Ruse, Ruse Region, BGR PT Mosteiro Basarbovo - o Mosteiro de São Dimitar Basarbowski - é um mosteiro ortodoxo búlgaro - numa caverna perto da cidade de Ruse, no nordeste da Bulgária. Tem o mesmo nome que a aldeia vizinha de Basarbovo e fica a cerca de 35 metros acima do rio Rusenski Lom, ao sul do Danúbio. A mais antiga menção escrita das datas mosteiro para o século 15 num registo fiscal Otomano. EN Basarbovo Monastery (Bulgarian: Басарбовски манастир) - the Monastery of Saint Dimitar Basarbowski - is a Bulgarian-orthodox cave monastery near the city of Ruse in north-eastern Bulgaria. It has the same name as the nearby village of Basarbovo and lies about 35 metres above the river Rusenski Lom, south of the Danube. The oldest written mention of the monastery dates to the 15th century in an Ottoman tax register.

EN A monument which is located 29 kilometers from Bucharest in the village Calugareni, Giurgiu, this national monument recalls the famous battle of 13 to 23 August 1595, when the Romanian army led by Prince Mihai Viteazul "Bravo," which defeated the Ottoman army , twice, led by Grand Vizier Sinan Pasha.

Ivanovo Rock Monastery Ivanovo, Ruse Region, BGR PT As Igrejas nas rochas de Ivanovo são um grupo de igrejas monolíticas, capelas e mosteiros cavados em rocha sólida e completamente diferente de outros complexos de mosteiros na Bulgária, localizado perto da aldeia de Ivanovo, 20 km ao sul de Rousse, nos bancos rochosos altos do Rusenski Lom, 32 m acima do rio. O complexo é conhecida por suas belas e bem preservadas afrescos medievais. As cavernas da região foram habitadas por monges, desde 1220, quando foi fundada pelo futuro Patriarca da Bulgária Joachim, do século 17, onde eles cavaram células, igrejas e capelas em rocha sólida. No pico do complexo do mosteiro, o número de igrejas foi cerca de 40, enquanto as outras instalações foram em torno de 300, a maioria dos quais não são preservados hoje. EN The Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo (Bulgarian: Ивановски скални църкви, Ivanovski skalni tsarkvi) are a group of monolithic churches, chapels and monasteries hewn out of solid rock and completely different from other monastery complexes in Bulgaria, located near the village of Ivanovo, 20 km south of Rousse, on the high rocky banks of the Rusenski Lom, 32 m above the river. The complex is noted for its beautiful and well-preserved medieval frescoes. The caves in the region had been inhabited by monks from the 1220s, when it was founded by the future Patriarch of Bulgaria Joachim, to the 17th century, where they hewed cells, churches and chapels out of solid rock. At the peak of the monastery complex, the number of churches was about 40, while the other premises were around 300, most of which are not preserved today.
