Itinerary description
As I haven't found the road way from Garni to the Khosrov state entrance for Vahagn and Astghik waterfalls, I decided to upload this road way bot for me and the hikers who may have the same issue while heading there.
The way starts from Yerevanyan street and heads to the main entrance from Garni village side.
The pictures here were taken in Khosrov state.
Here some information about Khosrov national reserve:
Khosrov Reserve ( Խոսրովի անտառ ) or Khosrov Forest State Reserve ( Խոսրովի անտառ պետական արգելոց ), is a nature reserve in Ararat Province, Armenia.
It was founded in the 4th century by the order of Khosrov Kotak, King of Armenia with the aim of maintaining the natural climatic conditions of the regions.
Khosrov Forest state reserve is divided into four districts - Garni (4253ha), Kaqavaberd (4745ha), Khosrov (6860 ha), and Khachadzor (7354 ha).
Hikers usually come here for these sites: Astghik and Vahagn waterfalls ( Աստղիկի և Վահագնի ջրվեժներ ), Kaqavaberd fort ( Կաքավաբերդ ), Havuts Tar monastery ( Հավուց թառ ).
