Itinerary description
The impressive citadelle of Kar Shahi is located near Kashan (Iran), sorrounded by km and km of desert. It used to be a fortress and now it is abandoned. In this trip I experimented how easy you can get lost in the desert. It is full of roads and crossroads with no indications on them. So even if the route seems totally straight, my advice is to stick to the track. Obviously there is no phone signal. And we didn't meet anybody on the road, I would say it is not a touristic place at all.
The track starts at Matin Abad, but avoid that place, try not to sleep there, it is very expensive. No 4x4 needed.
