Itinerary description
A January 21, 2017 waterfront drive near Mito, located approximately 1/2 way between Tokyo and the Fukushima disaster site. A high Tsunami risk area. There are small fishing villages, with small secluded harbors. The Coasts gets heavy winter surf. there are seaside shops, restaurants a fish museum, and parks. Our Japanese hosts took us to a fabulous seafood restaurant (waypoint saved).
Mita is connected to Tokyo by express train. Just over 1 hour on the JR Line.
