Southern Norway: day 6 (Førde- Briksdal-Geiranger-Førde).
On our 3rd day in Norway, we will visit the southwestern area in the vicinity of Haugensund-Stavanger. The surprising geology of the country, is eclipsed by the beauty of its landscapes in constant change. Both aspects are intimately related and I will try to show them.
For millions of years, the Baltic Plate (where the Scandinavian countries are located) has been formed based on ancient clashes between continents. At present, for just one million years, the erosion of the last glaciations has exposed these materials, showing them great and almost unique.
