Travel by BUS: Oslo-Flåm (Fretheim)
A small guide for those who want to go by vehicle from Oslo to Flåm. Where we enjoy beautiful views and indicate campsites, a hostel, places with possible routes and motorhome stops that we found along the way.
In this case we did it by bus, with a break of 30 'in Gol. And a bus change just before entering the Laerdal tunnel that you have to cross to get to Flåm.
In 1992, the Norwegian government decided to build the longest road tunnel in the world. The tunnel, named Laerdal tunnel, is 24.5 km long and connects Aurland and Laerdal, being part of the new national road connecting the cities of Oslo and Bergen. Laerdal is the longest road tunnel in the world. The tunnel has become a pride for locals and a typical tourist destination in Norway for foreigners. Its inauguration was in November of the year 2000.
Between the exit and the first waypoint "Lysander stasjon" the GPS traced a straight through the port going out to sea (things that happen) which we did not do.
Review that you do not have to take any ferry.
