Itinerary description
Driving route from Arandas (good for all vehicles) to parking spot where hike to Los Pocitos begins. At Los Pocitos you will find around 2000 little bowls carved in the soft rock alongside the Raso River. Archaeologists are still puzzling over why so many "pocitos" were created in this spot.

Los Pocitos
Los Pocitos Archaeological site on the Rio Raso. It is not unusual to find one little bowl carved in rock in this area. The bowl seems to represent a prayer for rain. Why there are so many little bowls at this one spot is not known.
