Itinerary description
Beautiful loop in a dramatic area. Solo on my skis wiz friends snowshoeing. Started from Sohat water plant and headed NE following the mountain northern curve, via an upper trail overlooking all the lakes of Falougha and Kfar Selouan.
After we started mounting up the mountain/cliff to my right obliquely to reach its peak, which was exhausted, an elevation of 250m in a section of 1km. The snow was packed, so we were able to venture and create our own path in the mountain to reach its ridge. This shortcut cannot be done if there’s no snow.
At the peak the fog was very condensed with temperature below zero. So unfortunately, we decided to turn our way back without continuing to channel 11.
The way back is an easy angle descend with veeryyy beautiful surroundings and panoramas. Luckily, the fog was intermittently covering our sun and views.
Amazing trail that i would never miss doing it twice a year. Once in the snow and another one in summer.
Better to pick a clear day to enjoy the exquisite sceneries from both sides of the Mt.
In winter, with the snow covering, the trail becomes harder, this is why i rated it difficult.

I would love to join if you do that one again. Seems to be a pretty tour. Catrin
Hi Catrin. U wont be seeing me making any journeys in Lebanon for at least in the near future cz i moved to Canada. Otherwise, i would’ve loved to tell u.
Go ahead and plan for ur trip to that beautiful peak. U’ll fall in love with this mountain.
But dont choose this trail to follow me, use the trail i saved right next to this one as i chose a hard way to mount up with my skis unless u prefer doing so.
Enjoyyy
