Itinerary description
Well prepared and sign-posted loipe at Elsenborn. There are 5, 9 and 14 km loipes here. For the 9 and 14 km, extra loops are added to the 5 km; the loipes take more or less the same route.
See website for more information: http://www.herzeboesch.net/wbneu/pages/skizentrum.php. The route takes you across the quiet countryside around Elsenborn, near the military range. You have nice views towards the Hautes Fagnes moors. It is much quieter here than at Botrange/Baraque Michel, and the loipes are better. Near the turn-off for the 9 km loipe there is a small asphalt road you need to cross. You pay 3 euro's for the loipe. There is parking at the start as well as ski rental.
