Itinerary description
Beautiful solo ski, safe for cross-country, as terrain is very wide. Its physically demanding, the way up until Mzaar cross is intermittently steep. when it becomes too steep, u r obliged to change the angle of ur skis, u cant go straight to the peak, follow the terrain curve and go around it. Its a longer route but really saves the energy. On my way, i passed by 11 crosses, each one of them on a different peak, and each peak has its own splendid panorama. the sceneries are amazing and the quietness is very peaceful and soul healing. After Mzaar cross, i ventured east to visit three of the seven crosses of Mount Sannie, St. Maroun, St. Pierre et Paul and St. Elie. Then headed north to take my way back on an easy beautiful descend to reach Jabal Dib slope, and onto this slope back to Jonction/parking.
According to the signs that shows the crosses name and altitude, my GPS is mentioning less altitude by 40m! idk!
Trail can be done by ski rendo (backcountry) which probably might be a better option due to the steepness of the angles, whether in mounting up or skiing down. But definitely enjoyable in ski de fond. Enjoyyy! :))
