Itinerary description
Sign-posted track at Baraque de Fraiture starting opposite the ski rental at the down-hill ski slope. Piste was not prepared, and there were stretches with virgin snow... The track first follows the highway, makes a turn and then follows the edge of the woods with nice views towards Fraiture and Lierneux. You pass below the downhill ski piste and then sharply turn right and up on the hill. You follow a stream, then cross through pasture and then follow a track back towards the N89. Shortly before the N89 you turn right through the woods back to the starting point on a small track only accessible when there is snow (otherwise private). I was the only one on the track early in the morning; at the downhill piste and the sledge hill it was extremely busy with a line of more than 300 m at the ski rental and a complete traffic jam around the center. Because of the descend and ascent and the loipe not being prepared, the track was less suited for starters. Better to go to e.g. nearby Samrée.
