Itinerary description

This track follows the 6 km loipe from the ski center in Manderfeld (https://www.ostbelgien.eu/nl/fiche/wintersports/ski-manderfeld-auf-dem-biert-nl). The loipes start near the sports field. You can rent skis at the hotel-restaurant Eifeler Hof. The loipes are nicely prepared here, and the area is very quiet compared to the other ski centers further north in the region. Tracks are not too difficult with some ascent and descent across pasture in a serene winter landscape with wide views towards Schneifel and the countryside all around. This track is indicated by arrows on black signs. Other loipes are 2 (green) and 4 (red) km. The track first goes west parallel to the N626, ascending and descending a few times. The track then goes back east and south towards the German border, then goes parallel to the border and then descends to the small stream Deich and ascends back to the start.
