Itinerary description

This is the most popular skiing area around Bergen. The track to Negerlandsbyen is being preprocessed often in the winter and there are always many people from December to April. Perhaps the road to the alpine skiing resort (Furedalen) isn't open. Then you just park down with the main road, but I will recommend to not ski there on days with the highest amount of people because of the expensive price of up to 60 NOK (Sunday use to be the worst day). The track follows a road going up left of the alpine ski resort. There will be two long hills to climb, but on the way back you will ski the opposite way. Mødal, also called Negerlandsbyen, consists of about 20 cottages. I use to continue to the end of the road about 15 minutes from Negerlandsbyen. From there, you can continue to the highest mountain in the area, 1299 masl. This is also a famous skiing area. The track further on is not preprocessed, and I've never been there myself, but this is also a famous mountain in the summer. In normal speed, I would say about one hour to Negerlandsbyen, and 10-15 minutes on the way down.
