Itinerary description
One more time Skieur Des îles on a beautiful sunny day, its a great forest to get lost in. This was supposed to be a small wander to benefit from the beautiful weather but i ended up enlarging my loop and making a 15kms journey. When u go Cross Country skiing on a flat trail, ur kms accumulates easily and quickly and your momentum and pace stay stable throughout the whole trail.
In Lebanon, considering its mountainous geography nature, u dont expect in a 15kms cross country trail an elevation gain lesser than 400 or 500m, which can be considered tough.
But i have to admit that i miss the dramatic panoramas, the diversity of nature and the feelings you get when reaching a summit. Lebanon has an extremely unique and beautiful nature.
I miss that a lot!
