Itinerary description
3h21 min net moving time so a little under 12km-h (so extra time for pictures, calls of nature, and a somehow long lunch required to warm up).
Do no do this track from Zuoz up to Maloja. Do it from Maloja to Zuoz
Get public transport to Maloja Capolago which will leave you 200 metres away from Maloja Hotel.
Why start in Maloja
1) you will save a couple of hundred metres of climb
2) you will not have the wind on your face cooling you down and slowing you down
3) Buses in Maloja come once an hour so you will avoid a long cold sweaty windy wait (I took shelter in the hotel).
The track will start right by the hotel, then follow down.
Most of this path follows the Engadin Marathon but the flat lake sections where not available so you have to go up a few extra hills. There is also some sections in Stazerwald which are part of Diagonela.
