Itinerary description

An agricultural landscape with rising and falling terrain, along both banks of the Ebro river (outward and return). In Tortosa, we climb up to the Els Ports natural park, where we begin the hard, hard climb up to El Caro, the highest summit in the province of Tarragona. The difficulty rating of this climb is similar to that of the legendary Tourmalet from Campan, with demanding successions of ramps.
This is a superior route, for high-performance cyclists.
