Itinerary description
Andorra's most well-known climb which features in the Tour de France three times and the 1994 Vuelta. This climb starts with a lengthy 9km quite easy valley warm-up from the town of Ordinio. Then follows a few kilometres of hairpin bends which feature the steepest grades of the entire climb. The rest of it is a fairly steady grind to the top which suited Jan Ullrich when he rode the peloton off his wheel on stage 10 of the 1997 Tour de France. Filmed just before a heavy storm with some angry looking clouds starting to form towards the top
