Itinerary description
At the start there are several parking places along the road. You leave Évrange through quiet countryside crossing into Luxemburg. You then follow the N16to Mondorf-les-Bains, known for its spa. You cross the border stream twice Gander twice and follow a less well-paved cycling path directly on the border for a while. You then enter the luxurious premises of the spa where you can continue in the gardens for a small tour on paved paths. After you exit the gardens you follow roads to the village of Émerange in the valley on the border and then climb back to the main road to Schengen. After Burmerange the road climbs a bit and then you descend all the way to Schengen, the place known for its treaty on free border traffic. You pass by a monument to that effect, but directly climb away from the village towards the vineyards on the hills south of Schengen. A minor road continues through the forest until the French border and you continue between the French vineyards before descending towards the river. You cross back into Luxemburg towards Schengen. Near Schengen is the tripoint between Luxemburg, France and Germany marked with a buoy floating on the Moselle river. Also there is a castle and a museum and commemorative signs relating to the treaty. You then continue on a cycling path along the Moselle and the main road towards Remich. You pass below the viaduct of the cross-border highway. Near Schwebsange you leave the river for a short excursion to Schwebsange. After getting back to the river you continue past the touristic town of Remich and then on to Stadtbredimus, all the way on cycling paths. After Stadtbredimus you take a detour through the vineyards on several hills, before going down to the Moselle river again. You continue past Wormeldange and Machtum with large cliffs looming above the river all the way to Grevenmacher. You make a short tour through the center of the village and then cross the Moselle into Germany. You then get back south following the cycling route. Near Nittel you cycle on cycling paths between the river and the railroad, but not next to the main road, so this side is a bit quieter. You continue past Wormeldange and Wehr to Remich. Between Remich and Schengen you cycle past lakes and wetlands. At Schengen you leave the river to get to the French border and then take another cycling paths along the railway. At Sierck-Les-Bains you pass below the railway in a small tunnel and then continue on a cycling path along the river to the bridge at Contz-les-Bain. You cross the river and continue for a bit on the other side before taking a steep and short road to Haute-Kontz. From here you take quiet secondary roads through undulating countryside to Beyren-Lès-Sierck. Here you take the D1 main road to Mondorff. From here you take minor roads through the quiet countryside to the hamlet of Preisch and then on back to the start in Évrange.

This is one of seven trips along the Luxemburg border, taking you around the entire country, with generally quiet and beautiful landscapes, the Our, Sauer and Moselle rivers, the industrious and mining landscape in the south, picturesque villages, three tripoints, wetlands, countryside and hills.
Starting at the tripoint Germany-Belgium-Luxemburg and going counter-clockwise, these are the routes:

The second is the most strenuous and the sixth is the easiest.
Beautiful.
