Itinerary description
An exploration ride in search of singletrack, some found but not much ridden! Not really a route to follow but definitely some potential for great enduro singletrack on GR50. Rode up the road to Les Richards then carried on following a doubletrack up into the pasture area. This unfortunatly came to a dead end but on the way back down I spotted a potential singletrack leading to Les Borels. A quick exploration on foot showed me it was too difficult to ride up but maybe OK down? Back down to La Coche and then a long doubletrack climb up to the illusive singletrack picking up the footpath to Les Borels. A short exploration along this trail and then the dreaded exposure, with big drops, so I retraced my steps. On the way back down I saw the GR50 again so followed this to the top of the descent that leads down towards Les Richards. This has potential but it needs walking first to check it out. Carried on with the ride planned, joining the descent of vtt 8 to Les Borels then up to Les Tourengs and the part descent vtt 38. A great day out with amazing scenery and some potential singletrack for another day.
