Royal Australian Memorial
Bronze memorial made by Dennis Adams. This artist was chosen since he was one of the soldiers of the 18th battalion. It represents soldiers from 3 battalions who fought in Southeast Asia (Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam and Borneo). The sculpture is 8.23 meters long and 1.50 meters high. It has suffered several acts of vandalism so there are parts that look a little newer than the others.
Table of Love
It is a bronze sculpture that belongs to a permanent exhibition created by two renowned artists from Australia and England (Gillie & Marc). This sculpture shows us two people (Dogman and Rabittwomen, protagonists in different works by the authors) with different appearances, symbolizing unity without taking into account the differences between them. This sculpture is represented in various countries.
Major General Lachlan Macquarie
It is Governor Lachlan Macquarie's who founded Sydney. He was responsible for leading social, economic and architectural roles in the colony and influenced the transition from Sydney as a penal colony to what we now know as NSW. Many call him "the father of Australia" but there is controversy since in 1816 he ordered the capture and killing of the aborigines who were in the territory, so there are many others who do not like his representation and this can be felt with the various acts of vandalism to the statue.
Yininmadyemi Memorial
Made by Aboriginal artist Tony Albert. The 7 meter high bullets represent war conflicts but this specific one is a model of bullet that was used in World Wars 1 and 2 and in the Korean War. The representation of these standing and falling means survival and those who did not manage to survive.
Darling harbour a Barangaroo
Walk from Darling harbor to the Barangaroo area. This area is very popular due to several reasons. On the one hand, there is a great gastronomic offer, activities and events, the location of the aquarium and the wax museum, and the connection with various ferry lines make this place busy.
