The ride begins at the parking area of the visitor center of the Nature Park of Molentargius, from where you start cycling to the entrance of the park. There are two bridges passing over a canal. Take the smaller one on the right hand side and continue on that small gravel path for a bit. On the left hand side you soon see a big, metal gate. Cross the road carefully and enter into a green area, the parco delle emozioni. Stay on that gravel path, until you come to another small bridge.

Cross the bridge on your right and turn left. You are passing through another gate, entering another green area. A salt lagoon is on your left and maybe also some flamingos. Follow the gravel path, until you reach another gravel road. You have to turn right, in order to reach an observation hut. Here you can have a break and observe waterbirds.

Continue towards another gate. Take the wide path on your left. You will pass some houses and finally find yourself next to the big salt lagoon Stagno di Molentargius, where flamingos and other waterbirds live. You will soon come to an intersection, where you go straight. Follow the cycling path, until you see another entrance gate to a green area on your right. Enter it and pass through it. There is a little MTB park, another good possibilty to have a break.

After you had enough fun in the MTB park continue and leave this green area through another gate. Take a right and then take a left immediately, in order to enter another green area. Here you are able to observe closely the so-called spiaggia fossile (fossil beach). You are then leaving this green area again through a gate. Cross the gravel road and a bridge over a canal. You have reached the old dewatering pump, which is still responsible for the water distribution in the park. Go straight towards the sea. On both sides you see big salt water pools and maybe some flamingos. On your left you follow the canal that transports fresh sea water into the park. At the end of this path you come the beach, Poetto.

After a break at the beach, you continue cycling along the promenade, which leads to the small touristic port Marina Piccola. There are many beach kiosks along the way and the very good ice-cream shop Bobo Cono. This stretch is in contrast to the Molentargius park crowded with walkers, skaters, other cyclists and also some cars. Be careful!
Having reached the end of the promenade you have to cross a parking area. Go towards the small limbstone hill La Sella del Diavolo (The Devil’s Saddle) and enter the cycling path, that starts here.

On the left of the cycling path is a wire fence and on the right the parking area. You come to an intersection, where you turn right towards the street. Cross that street at the traffic light and always stay on the cycling path, which turns right and then continues straight, until you reach an entrance back into the Nature Park of Molentargius. Follow the trail, until it splits. Take the path on your right. The trail splits one more time. Go left now and you will come back to the visitor center of the Nature Park of Molentargius.
